Cosmetic Injections FAQs
- What are anti-wrinkle injections and how do they work?
This is a commonly used cosmetic procedure to temporarily relax targeted muscles to help deduce fine lines and wrinkles. The term “anti-wrinkle treatment” describes a host of brands used at PPL that are all Health Canada approved. Anti-wrinkle injections are a prescription that block specific nerve signals that cause muscle to contract. When injected by a trained and qualified professional, this procedure is considered safe and effective. - How long does it take to see the results and how long does it last?
Clients may begin to see results as early as day 3, with full results present on day 14. This treatment may last 3-4 months. Retreatment can be done every 12 weeks and no earlier to ensure efficacy. - Is there any downtime?
There is no downtime with this procedure. Minor redness and bruising may be present, but usually resolves within a few hours. Most clients return to work immediately after treatment. - How many treatments will I need before seeing through results?
Clients will see the results with every treatment. Full results after day 14. - Does the injections process hurt?
Most of the injections are superficial. Clients describe the injections to feel like a quick pinch. - Will I have muscle paralysis? Can this be permanent?
This will not be permanent. It’s a block in signal rather than paralysis. If you choose to stop receiving treatment, the muscle will slowly gain their strength back returning to its pre treatment state. - Can anyone receive this procedure?
During your consultation with our nurse, she will go over all the contraindications and determine if this is safe and right for you. - How does payment work?
Payment is collected at the time of your treatment at our spa. We accept VISA, MasterCard,VISA/Debit, cash, debit or etransfer. If booking a package, full payment is due upfront at the time of purchase, whether you purchase online via our website, by phone or in person. - What is your cancellation policy?
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy in effect at our laser and beauty spa for consultations and appointments. If you cancel less than 24 hours to your treatment appointment, no refund will be given. - Do you take walk-in appointments?
Our treatments are by appointment only. To ensure our clients received full privacy and comfort, we do not offer walk-in appointments or consultations. Visit our contact page for our hours of operation. - Can I use my cell phone during treatment?
Cell phone use is not permitted during any treatment or service at Premium Personal Laser. This includes, but is not limited to, talking on the phone, texting, surfing the internet, playing games via apps, recording videos, or taking pictures of any service in progress.
